Nope, the Series S isn't designed for true 4K gaming. It upscales to 4K, but native 4K is reserved for its big brother, the Series X.

The Xbox Series S can technically output at 4K, but game rendering is usually limited to 1440p upscaled to 4K. It's great for those who don't mind a little visual trickery!

I鈥檝e been using my Series S on a 4K TV for a while! While it upscales games to 4K, the actual rendering generally stays at 1440p. Still, looks pretty sharp to me!

Series S can handle 4K streaming for movies and TV, but for gaming, it's usually 1440p upscaled.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
