Yup, just make sure it's USB 3.0 or better. Plug it in, format it, and boom, more storage space!
I've been using a regular USB 3.0 drive for months now with my Series S. Works perfectly for storing Xbox One and older games!
You can use almost any external hard drive, but only the official Seagate Storage Expansion Card can run Series X/S optimized games directly.
