Can you avoid tactical thinking in Fallout 4?
Nope, tactical thinking is part of the charm. If you're not planning your next move or considering how to tackle a situation, you're missing out on a big part of what makes Fallout 4 great. That being said, the game does give you some leeway to play it your way, so it's not all chess moves and battle plans.

Kinda? I mean, you can try to brute force your way through with a high-damage build and lots of stimpaks, but where's the fun in that? The game's designed for you to engage with its mechanics, and that includes some level of strategy.
No tactical thinking? In Fallout 4? Good luck with that. The Commonwealth is a wasteland of danger. You'll need at least a bit of strategy unless you plan on becoming Mirelurk food.
Absolutely not if you wanna stay alive for long, haha. Fallout 4 is all about making choices, especially in combat. You've gotta think about your gear, your approach, and how you're gonna use the environment to your advantage. But hey, you can always lower the difficulty setting if you wanna focus more on exploration and story than on tactics.
