In Fallout 4, you don't exactly buy houses like you would in some other games. Instead, you get to show off your inner interior designer by building and customizing your own settlements from scratch. Think more along the lines of claiming land and making it your own personal fortress rather than purchasing a pre-built house.

Nah, you can't just buy a house like it's some sort of post-apocalyptic real estate simulator. You gotta put in the work, scavenge for materials, and build your own piece of the wasteland paradise.

Actually, in a way, you do get a house. The game starts you off in Sanctuary Hills, which becomes your first base of operations that you can build up and customize to your heart's content. So, while there's no realtor waiting to take your caps, you essentially get a 'house' pretty early on by default.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!
