Yes, timing is key in MTG. You can totally cast an instant before your opponent's sacrifice effect resolves. This is because instants can be played at almost any time, including in response to another spell or ability being put on the stack. So go ahead and surprise your opponent!

Absolutely! In Magic The Gathering, you can cast an instant spell at almost any time, and that includes before a sacrifice effect resolves. It's all about timing and knowing when to play your cards. If your opponent triggers a sacrifice effect, you can respond by casting an instant before that sacrifice effect fully resolves, giving you a chance to swing things in your favor or save a crucial piece on the board.

Well, actually it depends. You can cast an instant before a sac effect if it's your opponent鈥檚 turn or in response to an action they've taken. But if you're the one doing the sacrificing as part of the cost to activate an ability or cast a spell, you can't cast an instant in between declaring the sacrifice and it actually happening. Costs get paid first!

Nope. If you're sacrificing as part of a cost, you can't cast an instant in the middle of it. Costs are paid upfront!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
