Nope, you can't catch an axolotl in Animal Crossing. But, you'll find a cool axolotl named Blathers' assistant, who runs the museum. So, while you can't catch one, you still get to enjoy an axolotl's presence in the game!

You can't catch an axolotl, but having one as a museum curator's assistant is pretty unique, right? Makes me wish they'd let us have more interactive roles with such characters!
