Nope, you can't change your Steam username. That's like your digital fingerprint on the platform. But don't worry, you can still change your profile name anytime to keep things fresh. Your friends will see the new profile name, so go ahead and jazz it up!

You're stuck with your Steam username forever, it's the one thing that stays consistent. However, you totally can change your display name, which is what everyone sees. So, if you chose a username like 'xX_LordofNoobs_Xx' back in the day, at least you can hide it with something cooler now!

Can't change it, end of story. Choose wisely.

Had the same username since 2004... It's part of my soul now. But seriously, updating your display name works wonders for keeping your identity current.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
