Yeah, you can charge it using the Play & Charge Kit from Microsoft. Regular AA batteries won't charge though.

You can charge batteries in the Xbox One controller, but only if you use the Play & Charge Kit, which includes a rechargeable battery pack and a USB cable.

In my experience, the Play & Charge Kit works great. You just plug it in with the USB and play while it charges. Super convenient!
