Nope! You need a Bluetooth adapter to use your AirPods with a PS5. Sony didn't include native Bluetooth audio support.

Unfortunately, you can't connect AirPods directly to a PS5 without an adapter. The PS5 doesn't support Bluetooth audio natively.

From what I've tried, you need a Bluetooth dongle to use AirPods with a PS5. Worked like a charm once I had the adapter.
