Absolutely! In MTG, you can indeed counter abilities, not just spells. There are specific cards designed for this purpose, look for those with abilities like 'Counter target activated or triggered ability.' Cards like Stifle or Disallow are perfect examples of this. So yes, if an opponent is getting a little too cheeky with their abilities, you have the power to say 'nope!'

Yes, but not with just any counter spell. You need specific ones that say they can counter abilities. It's all about the card text!

Gonna be that person - it's not always worth it. Sure, countering an ability can be game-changing, but it's super situational. Choose wisely when to use those precious counters.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
