Actually, you kinda can, but not directly. You can't counter the transform mechanism itself, since it's not a spell or ability being cast. However, you can prevent a transformation indirectly by removing the conditions needed for it to happen. For example, if a card transforms based on having no spells cast in a turn, make sure to cast a spell!

Just let it happen. Transformations are cool!

Nope, you can't counter a transform. Transform isn't a spell or ability on the stack; it's a state-based action. So, you can't just slap a 'nope' on someone's werewolf flipping over. You gotta deal with it the old-fashioned way - board control and removal.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
