Actually no, Terraria doesn't do cross-platform play between PS4 and Xbox. Would've been cool, though!
Sorry, but Terraria doesn't support crossplay between PS4 and Xbox. Each platform has its own ecosystem, so you can't team up with friends on a different console to explore those procedurally generated worlds together. But hey, it's still a blast to play with friends on the same platform!
