Sorry, but no dice. The Mariner's fate is sealed. It's kind of frustrating when you wanna help but the game's like 'nah, let's keep it grim'.

Absolutely not. Her story is meant to add to the atmosphere of the game, showing not everything can be fixed with a stimpack or a quick trip to the doctor.

Nah, you can't cure the Mariner in Fallout 4. The game throws a bunch of quests and stories at you, but curing the Mariner isn't one of the possibilities. It's one of those plot points that adds depth to the character and the world without offering a neat resolution. Makes you wish you could do more, doesn't it?

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
