Yep, you sure can play on the right side of the law in GTA 5, sorta... While you can't become a cop through official in-game career paths, you can steal a police cruiser and access the 'Vigilante' missions, or what's known in GTA 5 as police scanner missions. Just hop into a cop car, start the scanner missions, and you’re basically an honorary member of Los Santos' finest, fighting crime in the most GTA way possible.

Short answer: No official police missions, but yes to vigilante-style fun. Steal a police car, tap into the police scanner, and bam, you're the law (kinda).

Nope, GTA 5 doesn’t let you officially join the police force. You gotta bend the rules and jump into a cop car for that kinda action. Vigilante missions are as close as you get.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:
