Yes, you can download levels in Super Mario Maker 3DS, but you can only access levels that Nintendo selects for you through the 100 Mario Challenge or Recommended Course list.

Nope, you can't directly download levels from friends or search for specific Course IDs in Super Mario Maker 3DS. It's all Nintendo's curated content.

As someone who's poured hours into the 3DS version, I can tell you that while you can't download any level you want, I鈥檝e found plenty of awesome stages through the 100 Mario Challenge!
