Yep, you can get a speedometer in GTA 5, but it's a bit of a DIY project since the base game doesn't include one natively. Modders to the rescue! There are mods out there that add a fully functional speedometer to your HUD. Just make sure you're doing this on PC, though – console players might have a tougher time adding mods without risking a ban.

Actually, if you're all about that vanilla game life, GTA 5 does give you a subtle hint of your speed. Ever paid attention to the dashboard of the cars in first-person mode? Some of them are pretty detailed and show your speed right there. Not as fancy as a dedicated speedometer mod, but it's something.

Mods? In GTA 5? Unthinkable. (Just kidding!) But seriously, embrace the chaos as is, who needs a speedometer? Drive like the wind or until you hit a tree, whichever comes first!

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!
