Yep, you sure can get companions in Fallout 76, but it's not like the old Fallout games. There are two main types of companions you'll come across: Ally Companions and your faithful Camp pet. Allies are NPCs you can recruit for your C.A.M.P., and they'll give you quests, help defend your base, and you can even get a bit of their backstory.
