Short and sweet: Nope, you can't officially gift cars in GTA 5 Online. Would've been cool though!
Actually tried this with a friend once, hoping to surprise them with a custom ride. Turns out, GTA 5 Online doesn't have a direct 'gift car' button. But we did the whole 'modify a car and leave it for them' trick. It's a bit of a hassle but kinda works if you're really looking to share.
