Can You Grade Your Own Pokemon Cards?
TargetingDirt路7 months agoTechnically, you can 'grade' your own Pokemon cards by assessing their condition based on common grading standards like corners, edges, surface, and centering. But for official purposes, like selling or trading at high values, you'll need a recognized grading service like PSA, Beckett, or CGC to do it. They provide an objective, industry-recognized grade that adds value to your cards.

Sure, you can grade your own cards! Just don't expect anyone in the serious collecting world to take your personal grade as gospel. Official grading companies exist for a reason, my friend.
I graded my Pikachu card a 10 because it looks super shiny and awesome. Serious collectors might not agree, but in my heart, it's a perfect score.
