Not really worth it, IMO. SteamOS is optimized for the Deck, not your average PC. You're better off just using regular Linux if you want that experience.

I actually tried this! Got SteamOS running on an old laptop. It's neat but kinda overkill unless you're really into tinkering. Games run, but you'll miss the seamless experience of the Deck.

Yes, you can technically install Steam Deck's OS, SteamOS 3, on a PC. It's based on Linux, and enthusiasts have found ways to get it running. Just remember, it's designed for the Steam Deck's hardware, so your mileage may vary on a standard PC setup.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
