Nope, you can't just go all Terminator in Fallout 4. While you can definitely channel your inner wasteland warrior and take down a lot of folks, some characters are essential to the story. These essential NPCs can't be killed, ensuring you can still see the end of the game. So, while you can wreak a lot of havoc, you'll have to leave some survivors if you wanna see how your story ends!
I tried, believe me. Went in with the idea of being the last man standing in the Commonwealth. Turns out, you can't just off everyone. Some characters are like roaches after a nuke - just won't die. So, yeah, you gotta deal with some people sticking around no matter what.
