Nope, the split screen size is locked by the game settings. Just gotta make do or play on separate consoles.

I tried all settings, but there's no way to make the split screen bigger. It’s one of those game limitations.

Unfortunately, you can't make split screen bigger in Fortnite. It's fixed by the game to fit two players on a single screen.
