Nope, you can't pay more life than you have in MTG. Think of your life total as your wallet—if you don’t have enough cash, you can’t make the purchase. So, if a spell or ability requires you to pay more life than you currently have, you simply can't pay that cost.

Actually, in MTG, your life is a resource but not an unlimited one. You can only pay up to the amount of life you have. Trying to pay more is like trying to spend money you don't have—just doesn't work.

No way. Your life total in MTG isn't a credit line. If you're down to 1 life, you can't pay 2 life, because you're not in the negatives game-wise.

Nah, you gotta stay within your life budget. No overdraft fees in the MTG world!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
