Nope, you can't officially play as a cop in GTA 5 like in a career mode. However, there's a silver lining! You can steal a cop car and kinda role-play as a cop. Plus, the LSPDFR mod lets you dive deep into the life of a cop in GTA 5, but that's only for PC gamers.

Big no on that one! GTA 5 doesn't let you be a cop as part of the game. But hey, nothing stops you from pretending, right? Grab a police car, and the city's your oyster. Or just mod it on PC.

Actually, playing as a cop would go against what GTA is all about. It's a game focused on being on the other side of the law. So, no official cop mode in GTA 5.
