Nah, you gotta have Xbox Gold to dive into the wasteland of Fallout 76. It's an online multiplayer, so Xbox Live Gold is a must for all the exploring, questing, and surviving with or against other players. Makes sense, since being online is the heart of the game!

Short answer: Nope. You need Xbox Gold for the online fun in Fallout 76.

I tried playing without Xbox Gold and it was a no-go. Had to subscribe to join my friends in the game. It's worth it though, especially for all the cool updates and expansions they keep adding!
