Nope, GTA 5 doesn't support cross-platform play between PS4 and PS5. Both consoles can play the game, but you can't play directly with friends on the other console version. However, since PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games, you can still enjoy GTA 5 on your PS5, just not in cross-platform multiplayer mode.
Absolutely not. Tried it with my buddies, one on PS4 and me on the fancy new PS5. No dice. We ended up just playing separately. A bit of a bummer, really.
