Absolutely, you can! The Steam Deck is basically a portable PC, so besides playing games from your Steam library, you can also install software from other platforms or even emulators. You're not locked into Steam alone, making the Deck super versatile.

I've been using my Steam Deck to play a bunch of indie games not available on Steam. Works like a charm! Just remember, not every game's performance will be optimized like they are on Steam, so your mileage may vary with each title.

Gonna be the odd one out and say it's not worth the hassle. Stick to Steam's library; it's vast and optimized for the Deck.

Short answer: Yep! Just because it's called the Steam Deck doesn't mean it's Steam-only. Feel free to explore games from other sources.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
