Sadly, you can't play the original Animal Crossing or most of its direct sequels directly on the Switch. However, 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' is available and it's an amazing experience packed with tons of content. It captures the essence of the series perfectly!

Nope, the OG Animal Crossing games aren鈥檛 on the Switch. But honestly, New Horizons is all you need. It's like they took everything great about the old games, cranked it up to 11, and set it on a deserted island. Pure magic.

Actually, not directly. But you CAN play 'Animal Crossing: New Leaf' and 'Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer' through the Nintendo 3DS family of systems if you have them. Then there's always the latest, 'New Horizons', on Switch, which is fantastic.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
