Technically, no. The PS3 doesn't support running games directly from a USB drive. You'd need to install them on the internal hard drive.

Nope, PS3 games need to be on the internal hard drive or on physical discs. USB won't cut it.

I've tried it before, and unfortunately, the PS3 won't play games directly from a USB. It's always looking for the internal storage or the disc drive. But you can use USB drives for movies, music, and backups!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
