Unfortunately, you can't play the original Red Dead Redemption on the PS5 directly. It's not available on the PlayStation Store for PS5. You might want to grab a PS Now subscription as it offers streaming access to PS3 titles, including Red Dead Redemption.

I've tried to get Red Dead Redemption 1 working on my PS5, but no luck. It's available on PS Now, though, so you still have a way to enjoy it if you stream it from there.
