Short answer - no. Switch games are made for Nintendo's platform, and Steam Deck is all about PC gaming. Mixing the two is like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Actually managed to get a few emulated games running on my Steam Deck, but it's a bit of a hassle and definitely not what it's made for. Wouldn't recommend it if you're not into tinkering and potentially bending some rules.

Nope, you can't directly play Switch games on a Steam Deck since they're two totally different platforms with their own exclusive games. But hey, the Steam Deck runs on a version of Linux that supports game emulation, so some tech-savvy folks might find ways to run emulated versions of some Switch games. It's not straightforward, involves a bit of a grey area legally, and definitely not supported by Valve or Nintendo!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
