Nope. Printing out Pokemon cards is a no-go if you're thinking about playing in any official capacity or trading. It's not just about the legal stuff; printed cards just don't have the same vibe or value as the real cards you get from packs or stores.

Technically, yeah, you could print out Pokémon cards, but it wouldn't be legit or legal for official games or tournaments. The quality would be way off compared to the real deal, and part of the fun is collecting the genuine articles. Plus, showing up to a game with printed cards would be a fast track to losing street cred in the Pokémon TCG community.

I tried printing Pokemon cards once for a DIY project. While they looked okay for a casual game at home, they were nowhere near the quality of real ones. Also, my friends could tell they were homemade right away, so we stuck to legit cards for serious play.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
