Unfortunately, PSN codes are region-locked. So if you have a Japanese code, you'll need a Japanese PSN account to use it.

From experience, you need a Japanese PSN account to redeem Japanese codes. Create one, and you're good to go!

Nope, you can't redeem Japanese PSN codes on a US account. You'll need a Japanese PSN account for that.
