Absolutely, you can return a Steam gift, but there's a catch: it needs to be unclaimed first. If you've sent someone a game as a gift and they haven't accepted it yet, you can cancel the gift and get a refund. Just go to your Steam Inventory, find the gifted game, and choose the option to cancel the gift. If the recipient has already accepted the gift, well, no take-backsies unless they decide to initiate a refund.

Hot take: just keep the gift. Steam's library is huge. Chances are, you'll find something you love eventually.

From personal experience, yes, you can return a Steam gift but only if the gift hasn't been accepted. Had to do this once when I accidentally bought the wrong game for a friend. Went to my inventory, cancelled it, and boom, got my refund. Smooth process.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
