Absolutely, sacrificing your own creatures in Magic The Gathering is not just allowed, it's a strategy! Many cards and abilities specifically require you to sacrifice a creature as a cost or condition. It can be a savvy move to trigger certain effects, evade an opponent's spell, or as a strategic sacrifice for a greater benefit later in the game. Just make sure you're getting good value out of the deal!

Nope. Sacrificing your own creatures is like giving away free points. Why would you do that? Keep your creatures. You need them.

100% yes. I once had a deck centered around sacrificing my own creatures for all sorts of crazy benefits. It's like a chess game; sometimes you gotta sacrifice a pawn to checkmate the king.

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yeeeeeeeees. There's a ton of cards out there that鈥檒l either kindly ask or downright demand you to sacrifice a creature for some sweet, sweet payoff. Think of it like trading in your old clunker car for a shiny new bike. Sometimes, you gotta let go to move forward.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
