Actually can't do that. Steam doesn't allow direct transfer of wallet funds. Gift cards are your best bet.
Directly sending Steam wallet funds to your buddy? No can do. But, buying them a Steam gift card is just as good. I've done it loads of times, and it's always appreciated.
Nope, you can't directly send Steam wallet money to a friend. However, you can always gift them a Steam Digital Gift Card which kinda does the trick. They can then use it to add money to their Steam wallet or buy games. So, gifting is your go-to option here.
