Nope, you can't share Rust on Steam like you would with a book or a cup of coffee. Steam's Family Sharing feature doesn't support Rust because of the way its licensing and multiplayer functions work. Each player needs their own copy to play.

Actually, I tried sharing Rust with my brother via Steam Family Sharing, and it was a no-go. Found out the hard way that some games, especially ones with heavy online components, just don't support it. Everyone has to buy their own copy.

Short answer: Nope. Rust doesn't play nice with Steam's Family Sharing. You gotta get your own copy.

Rust + Steam Sharing = Dream on. It doesn't work, sadly. Would've been awesome, though!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
