Technically, you can stand the PS5 vertically without a stand, but it's not recommended. The stand helps with stability and proper airflow.

I've tried it, but the PS5 is much more prone to tipping over when placed vertically without the stand. Just use the stand for peace of mind!

If you don't care about stability or potential damage, then go ahead! But I'd strongly suggest using the stand for safety.
