Can you Stifle the Epic Trigger in MTG?
CoilingShip路7 months agoAbsolutely you can Stifle the Epic trigger in MTG! When an Epic spell resolves, it creates a delayed triggered ability that triggers at the beginning of each of your upkeeps. Stifle can counter any triggered or activated ability, not just spells on the stack. So, when that Epic trigger goes off at the start of your upkeep, you can totally slap a Stifle on it to counter and prevent its effect for that turn. Magic is all about finding those clever interactions!

Nope, not worth it. Sure, you can technically Stifle an Epic trigger, but why waste a Stifle on that when there are so many juicier targets in a game? Use Stifle smartly!
Tried Stifling an Epic trigger in a tourney once; can confirm it works. The face of my opponent was priceless. Just remember, it's a one-turn reprieve, not a permanent solution.
