Unfortunately, you can't take control of a friend's character if they disconnect in PUBG Mobile. You'll have to carry on the fight without them!

From my experience, once someone disconnects in PUBG Mobile, their character just stands there until they get eliminated. Keep 'em covered if you can!

Nope, once they disconnect, they're outta the game! You can't control their character.
