Nope, you can't toggle your helmet off in Fallout 4 directly in the gameplay. If you wanna see your character's beautiful face, you gotta go into your inventory and manually remove the helmet. Adds a layer of realism, if you ask me!

Unfortunately, there's no built-in feature to just toggle your helmet visibility on and off while keeping its benefits. To admire your character's hairdo, you'll need to dip into the inventory every time.
