Nah, you can't directly trade cars with other players in GTA 5 Online like some underground car swap meet. But, you can kinda get around it by selling your car at the Los Santos Customs shop and then using the cash to buy the car you want. Just make sure you and your buddy have enough dough to cover the cost and the loss from selling. It’s a bit of a roundabout way, but hey, where there's a will, there's a way!

Absolutely not. Direct car trading isn't a thing in GTA 5 Online. Period.
Short answer: No, you can't directly trade cars with players. But, nothing stops you from getting creative with sales and purchases to effectively 'trade.'
Tried and tested: you cannot directly trade cars with your friends in GTA 5 Online. However, my crew and I just sell our cars and pass the cash to the person whose car we want to 'buy'. It's a workaround, but it's the closest you can get to trading.
