Unfortunately, you can't completely turn off chat in Words with Friends, but you can ignore it. Just don't open or respond to chat messages!

Nope, no way to disable chat. Just gotta do your best to ignore it.

While there's no official way to turn off chat, you can block or mute specific players. Go to their profile and hit Block or Mute!

I've tried, and sadly you can't turn off the chat feature. I just ignore it and focus on the game. It works for me!
