Can you unequip an equipment in MTG?
ColoringNoon路7 months agoActually, you can't "unequip" equipment in the traditional sense. Once it's on, it's on. But, you're not totally stuck; you just pay the equip cost to attach it to another creature. So while you can't put it back in your pocket, you can pass it to another creature like a baton in a relay race.

As a longtime player, I've seen many try to unequip an equipment during a game, but the rules are clear: you can't simply remove equipment from a creature without moving it to another. It creates strategic depth in the game, forcing players to think carefully about their equip decisions. It's all about the strategy!
Nope, once you've equipped an equipment to a creature in MTG, you can't just take it off willy-nilly. The equipment stays on the creature until the creature leaves the battlefield or another effect causes the equipment to become unattached. However, you can move the equipment to another creature you control by paying the equip cost again. It's like saying, 'This sword looks better on you,' but you gotta pay the price for the wardrobe change!
Hard no. Can't unequip. Equip it to someone else if you want it off the original creature, but remember, sharing is caring, and it costs mana.
