Can You Upgrade the Steam Deck CPU?
RavellingMane路7 months agoNope, the CPU in the Steam Deck is soldered onto the motherboard, just like in most modern laptops and consoles. That means you can't upgrade it without some serious hardware modding skills. It's built to be compact and portable, so upgrading parts isn't as straightforward as in a desktop PC.

You're stuck with what you've got. The Steam Deck's CPU isn't upgradable. It's designed to be a portable gaming device, not a modular PC.
I mean, technically you could if you were a wizard with microsoldering and didn't care about potentially bricking your device. But for us mere mortals, no, the CPU isn't upgradable.
Absolutely not, and why would you want to? The Steam Deck is perfectly balanced as is, with its hardware and software tuned to deliver a solid gaming experience on the go. Messing with the CPU could throw all that off balance.
