PS Plus card = PS Plus subscription. PS Store purchases? You'll need a PSN card for that.

Nope, you can't use a PlayStation Plus card to buy games or other stuff from the PS Store. It's only for the PS Plus subscription.

Just tried this last week, and PlayStation Plus cards only work for the subscription service, not for buying games or DLC in the PS Store. Grab a PSN card for those.

Hot take: Sony should totally let us use PS Plus cards for the PS Store, but they haven't yet!

PlayStation Plus cards are strictly for PS Plus subscriptions, not for PS Store credit. For shopping on the PS Store, go with a PSN card instead.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
