Yep, you can use the PS5 DualSense controller on a PS3! Just connect it via USB, and you're good to go. Keep in mind some features like haptic feedback won't work.

Yes, I've tried it myself. Just plug the DualSense into the PS3 via USB, and it works for most games. No need for any special settings.

Yes, but only wired. You lose all the fancy stuff like adaptive triggers and haptics, just a basic controller.
