Absolutely, but with a few caveats. Altered art cards are a-okay in casual play as long as the alterations don't obscure any essential information like the card name, mana cost, or power/toughness. However, for official tournaments, it's a bit stricter. The head judge has to give the okay for any altered cards to ensure they don't give any player an unfair advantage. So, if your deck sports a fancy paint job, always check with the judge before shuffling up for match one!

Short answer: It depends on the setting. Casual games? Go for it, impress your friends with your artistic flair! Competitive play? You'll need a thumbs up from the tournament judge. Keep your alterations tasteful and non-obstructive to stay on the safe side.

No way, keep those altered cards at home! Why risk a judge's disapproval in a tournament setting when you can play it safe with the original prints? Stick to the classics, I say.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
