Nope, you can't just use any Energy card for any move in Pokemon TCG. Each Pokemon card has specific Energy requirements for its attacks. Like, a Fire type Pokemon might need Fire Energy for its best move. So, you gotta match the Energy with what your Pokemon needs!

Actually, yes and no. You can use any Energy as Colorless Energy requirements but for specific moves, you gotta use the right type. So Fire moves need Fire Energy and so on. But if you see a Colorless Energy symbol, any Energy card works.

Nah, try throwing a Water Energy on a Charizard and see how far that gets you. Type matters!

Strictly speaking, not all energy types are interchangeable. Colorless Energy requirements, however, can be met with any energy card. It's all about the symbols on the card.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
