Can you use Bladebrand with Skeletal Archer in MTG?
SawingBully路7 months agoYeah, absolutely! Bladebrand gives any creature deathtouch until end of turn when you cast it, and Skeletal Archer deals damage when it enters the battlefield. So, if you cast Bladebrand on your Skeletal Archer before his enter-the-battlefield ability resolves, that damage will come with deathtouch. It's a slick move to take out a tough creature your opponent controls!

Nope, doesn't work. Bladebrand needs a creature that can attack to be useful.
I've actually pulled this off in a game before! Casting Bladebrand on Skeletal Archer right before its ability resolves is an awesome way to surprise your opponent and nix one of their creatures. Super satisfying combo!
